Tax Return Service

Any non – residents who rent out a property here have to complete a Cape Verdean tax return to account for this income. These returns are due annually and there are several items which can be offset against the income with the balance being charged at 20%. Currently all of these forms are in Portuguese.

As a result Cape Verde Mortgage Company can:-

• complete these for you
• liaise with the relevant authorities
• inform you of the amount due
• ensure the correct amount is paid at the right time

CVMC can take all of the pressure from you for just a small annual charge.

We can also pay your IUP tax (similar to UK rates) which is due on every property and, depending upon the amount, can be paid in either 1 or 2 instalments per annum.

Please note that any payment delays on both of these taxes will result in fines being imposed and added onto the original debt.
